about to install mdk 10 official and have a questions(wifi card)

i'm about to install mdk and only connect to the internet in a hotspot using a d-link airplus dwl-g650 card. and want to know if any of you have used this card or know if its going to work without problems with the new kernel or do i need to donwload something before installing. If after installling mdk my wifi card doesn't work i'm lost..

i installed gentoo 1.4(with 2.4.20) and was not able to make it work. Someone told me to use the new 2.6 kernel. but the live cd has some bugs when compiling the kernel. well that was my experience.

so i choose to use mdk...

any comments or help will be greatly appreciated.
