a complete idea of partition and installation
HI,
i have windows xp and mandrake 10.0. after the installation of mandrake ntldr file missed. so now i decided to format it and make a fresh 80 GB hard disk now. i need to install mandrake 10.0 and windows xp. 1)which one should i use to partition the disk. 2)what are the filesystem should i create for windows and mandrake? 3)which one first i install either mandrake or windows? how many primary and logical partition i create... thanks |
Not a mandrake user but the answer to 3 is definitely install windows first.
For 1 i think it's better to create the windows patition and then leave the space you want for linux unallocated, and let the linux setup create the linux partitions. |
