I have a Dell 4350/550 poweredge server with video that come's off the system board into a IBM P76 monitor. That I am trying to use as a workstation with Mandrake ver 10.1 community. It well not start in any windows (startx). I am not sure as to what type of video system is build into the system board of the 4350 and that may be the problem. I have tried hit and miss on different video type's (ATI,Dell,Genertic,etc) on install with no luck.
If anyone would know what it is I need to do to make this system come up in XWindows shy of a different OS or machine I would be thankful to you.

The poweredge has an ATI 3D Rage Pro with a measely 2 MB of vram.

You'll need to install the ATI and ATI-KERNEL rpm's from the Official 10.1 disks to enable it's video.

Keep the resolution down as well as there is not enough framebuffer memory on that machine.
