This is driving me to distraction. I have just installed mandriva free 2010. Rebooted and went through all the surveys/config upload. The final screen I get says "congratulations...." and there is one button "PREV" which takes me back to the hardware upload screen. There is no "NEXT" key.

I can't proceed to the desktop. Does this make any sense to anyone?!?! I shall review this tomorrow when my head is clearer. Cheers

Hi, Is this during installation?

If so, and you don't have a connection, chose to not update, at this stage.

Unless of course you are one of the few who do have an ethernet connection at this stage

It is obviously not working.

I generally do not try to update until I have the system working, The repo-databases installed

And the connection to do so.

It will hang forever if not.

Once you have rebooted and have setup you Internet connection,

look for easy-urpmi on the web, download the repo-db's and continue from there with drakerpm or smartrpm.

Look in the bottom right corner of the screen (not the window). There should be a "Close" button. You're not the first person to be caught by this.

thanks. Not something that leaps out at ya but plainly visible all the same. I'll begin exploring mandriva now.
