Hi, I just installed 2007 and it really looks great and the performance is really impressive on my hp laptop.
One of the things that I noticed in this version is that they removed the question as to what type of setup is wanted such as workstation or server, etc.
I currently have 9.1 on an old system and I would like this to be the new server that replaces the old system since this laptop has both ethernet and wireless capabilities.
My question is am I missing something regarding the server setup because I logged in as root through the console and noticed that there is no /var/named and other files that were present in the previous versions?
I find the idea of setting things up "as a server" so misleading. A server can do so many things, just labelling something "server" is pretty crude. To get where you appear to want to be, you only need installed the BIND rpms and it's done.
That's all very nice but bind was installed, it just seems that it did not install any /var/named and some other files.
I was wondering if this happened to anyone else.
Also, after booting into console, I noticed that there is no netconf available.
