2007 apache problem

Hi all,

I just upgraded to 2007 from 10.1 and the first time the system came up just about everything was working right including apache.

After making some minor changes to non apache stuff and rebooting, the httpd.conf file was gone. Not the problem as I keep backups.
I noticed that in the /etc/httpd/conf commonhttpd.conf, httpd.conf, and mailman.conf were gone and that the samefiles with .rpmsave were there.

Anyway, I checked the .rpmsave files and made the changes that I normally do but apache said:

httpd: cannot load /modules/mod_log_config.so

I did a find mod_log_config.so and found the .so files in /usr/lib/apache,
/usr/lib/apache2,
/usr/lib/apache/...,
/usr/lib/apache2/....

Attempt to solve - I noticed that there is no /etc/httpd/conf/modules
directory and created one as root since it appears.

In the httpd.conf file, the objects are shown line by line as
LoadModule config_log_module modules/config_log_module.so

Then I did a symlink in the /etc/httpd/conf/modules directory using
ln -s /usr/lib/apache
as well as for the other apache directories that contain .so files but httpd still says that it can't load the files.

Can anyone offer some advice or an alternate solution?

Peter
