2006 ISOs

I wanna download iso images for Mandriva 2006, but whenever I go to one of the public mirrors it just lists allof the files on a cd,like I'm supposed to go through and download every single one of those files to a folder and then burn them to one cd(it only lists one cd). Can somebody please direct me to a place where I can download the ISO images for Mandriva 2006?

Iso's have not been released to public yet. Only way to get the operating sys without paying at moment is a network install using the "boot.iso" image that Mandriva has made available on the tree.

If you want a thread killed, even your own, click on the "report this post to a moderator" in your post window. You will get a chance at that point to explain why you want it removed, and it will come to the immediate attention of the mods. They are a great bunch, don't be afraid to use the feature as you will get flamed if you go post the same question elsewhere without taking care of the original. You can simply ask a mod to move it for you.

Mandriva 2006

What's going on w/ Mandriva 2006. Apparently its just been released and isn't available to use. Only specific club members can use it. My club membership is the Aluminum Club Membership. The only reason I have that membership is because Mandriva is always coming out with a version of M. Linux. The members w/ Silver Membership and up has access to download the ISO for 2006. That isn't fair/. In other words, I paid the memebership to gain access to the ISOs, RPM, mirrors, and even bit torrents. Because my membership of a lower rank they want release to the Aluminum members. There terms, conditions, disclosures, and agreement doesn't mention that they would be doing such a thing. Well if anyone else encounter the same situation, please reply back what you did. Or better yet, is there a site or FTP site that I go to, to install Mandriva 2006. I appreciate any information I can get. How did anyone get Mandriva 2006. I am going everywhere to find 2006. And because my club memebership is Aluminum, I do not have the ability to download the ISOs. Please help me out. Thank you.

"Aluminium" membership is free. It is just a way they found to allow anyone to participate in their "Mandriva Club" forums.

As for the ISO, the download and so on... They perfectly have the right to act as they do. It is completely GPL-compliant. And then, they don't even try to lock things: you still can do a net install.

Besides, for those who don't know:

I might not update to 2006. I have no problems whatsoever with 2005 and I don't want to take a chance on updating to a new and untested OS, so I'll probably hold off on updating for a while.
