2 problems with mandriva 2005--video/reset and "menu" on kicker

Ok, mandriva 2005 is running very well and things are much more responsive than 10.1 and 10.0. I am liking the setups of everything, but am having one serious issue.

I installed the latest nvidia drivers (i'm not sure if this was the culprit or not), but anytime i do anything with video, whether it's Kino, Cedega, Doom 3, Kaffeine--i run the risk of the PC just resetting. It just does a hard reboot for some reason. It's not everytime, probably more like every 6 or 8th times. Any ideas?

Secondly, when I boot to KDE, under the kicker (our beloved K Menu), there is the word "menu." How do I get rid of it? It is nowhere to be found from what I can tell.

Thanks!
Travis

I don't know about the reboots, but try this for the text menu:

Changes to the Kmenu Button
---------------------------
In order to highlight the Kmenu button in a more obvious fashion, a text label has been added that says "menu". Depending on the size of your kicker panel and your personal preferences, you may want todisable this. To do so, open .kde/share/config/kickerrc with your favorite text editor and add kmenutext=false in the Kmenu section (you may have to add the section) so it looks like this:

[KMenu]
kmenutext=false
