10.1, reading DVD's

I don't nevessacaraly want to wach DVD's onmy laptop, I just want to be able to read my backup DVD disks!!

I have a tohsiba A45 something or another, with a Toshiba 24x CD-RW/DVD combo drive, yay. The thing worked in Mandy 10.0 fine, but when I upgraded to 10.1 it refuses to reaed DVDs. It automounts CDs fine, and I can burn cds using K3b just fine....but it just won't read dvds....

I personally think it has something to do with it being a Combo drive.

So if anyone has any ideas, if they could pelase send em my way.

Try to mount it manually.

Open Konqueror. Type "man:mount" in the address box. Read through. Try the various options.

Also, what is the output of the command "fdisk -l" in Konsole.

Also, try a different DVD.

The mount point may have changed.

e.g. your program may be looking for /mnt/dvd while the actual mount point is /mnt/cdrom, etc.

Check to see where the DVD is mounted under once installed/inserted...
