10.1 kernel version?

I installed 10.1 and uname -r returns 2.6.8.1-12mdk.
Yet when I install kernel-source using urpmi it installs what looks like a different version.
kernel-source-2.4.27-0.pre2.1mdk.i586.rpm
Is this right?
Subsequently trying to install NVIDIA driver returns an error about the kernel module most likely being built with the wrong kernel source files.

actually, i had the same issue.. use RPMdrak to select which kernel-source you want to install

While the 2.6 kernel is default,.. it apparently uses the 2.4 for source
