Well this is an inspiron 2650 laptop.

This is not reallt laptop related as its a general mandrake question..


Well here it goes

Its on the network using eth1 (Wireless Nic), led is stable

ifconfig shows it, with its ip address and all. I can ping anyone on my network and my router sees the laptop, meaning the connection is good.

if i do a ifup eth1 i get this error:
RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument

if I do a ping yahoo.com i get an immidate answer of:
connect: Network is unreachable

The net is reachable by all other computers, and was this this computer when I just used 9.2

I rule out any pcmcia problems or settings and its connected. The problem is the internet.

If I go to mandtrake linux control center->network and internet-> inernet access, it says:

Connection type: Ian (whats is this?)
Status: Not Connected


Now I am lost, I am conviced this is a problem with 10.0, perhaps they changed something. Well does anyone have any ideas?
