Unable to install "Mageia 4 Install DVD"
I received from 'OSdisc.com' a "Mageia 4" Install DVD, only problem it does not install. After my PC reboots and where one would expect to see'something, instead ion the upper left corner of a otherwise black monitor is:
"ISOLINUX 6.02 Mageia ETCD" Is this an established bug, is there a workaround, should I send my DVD back and ask for a replacement? Should I check out the Mageia forum? Just need perhaps a nudge in the right direction? Although a detailed an direct instruction on how to do a work around would not be scoffed at. herakles_14 |
Mageia runs just fine from me, but I installed it from a disc I burned myself.
Tell us more about the specs of the machine you are using. If it is a machine that came with Windows 8, you may be having an issue with Windows "Secure Boot." We'll need to know more to help though. You might also test the DVD in another machine to make sure it spins up. If it does not (and Secure Boot is not an issue), it's likely the media. |

Did you try it from a usb stick?
If not, may want to try that. Looks like they are on it. Need to follow that bug thread and wait for another post by Thomas Bucklund. |
