Mageia rollback update/package capability?

I have come up against a brick wall on this one except drakesnapshots as solution which it really isn't.

Should/can I install urpmi.recover from source? Can rpm --repackage and or rpm --rollback be added somehow?

Thanks in advance!

What exactly are you trying to do?

If you want to roll back to an earlier version of a package:

Quote:
urpmi --downgrade packagename
will roll back to the newest earlier version in the active repo's.

To roll back to a specific earlier version:

Quote:
urpmi --downgrade packagename-version

It's not urpme --repackage and urpme --repackage or anything useful is not a bash command in mageia.
Code:
root@localhost kbs]# urpme --repackage
Unknown option: repackage

I believe that the repackage option has been dropped from rpm by upstream.

Google may tell you more.

It looks like yum history has superceded the other commands. I may install yum I guess and just try to use it for that one purpose. draksnapshot is shot on this distro.
