This is my first Thread but after reviewing I just had to post something.
I noticed over 700+ pages of Zero Posts, meaning no replies/no-help. I know this is a popular site for linux user's especially if your new to Linux and lost.
I know Jeremy and the Mods would like to see this forum grow to it's full potential. I know it's not their job or any subscribers to post replies and answer peoples questions, but I think we could get this number down.
I suggest that every user, new or old read the zero replies and help 10 people this week... You would be surprised how helping answer a question someone has can help increase your knowledge. I myself have learned so much just by reading posts and answering questions people have.
I think together we can get this zero reply biz down to a few pages...
I agree with your sentiments.
Personally, I have a '0 replies' button in Firefox,
so that while waiting for downloads, compiles, etc
I can give something back to the community.
(Yes, I often get distracted ... but it's all good )
why are there zero reply posts? because sometimes, it is a hard question.
as stated in the thread that scuzzman posted, the goal is not to irradicate zero reply posts (though that would be nice) but to stop the number growing.
