surley we should therfore have a windows forum (under non *NIX)
to get all teh windows posters out of genrel!

We know. The domain was registered as a joke a few years ago - in fact, it used to point to General. See also and unixquestions, I think. General is now and has always been the correct place for Windows questions - the focus of LQ will always be Linux but we accept that since we are a friendly helpful place that people will ask about other OSes.
