WindowsQuestions.org

I just discovered this really interesting site:
http://windowsquestions.org

Jeremy;
Can you share if this was just a bit of mischief or was it necessary to fend off someone else's mischief?

Whatever the answer, I like it....

This happened a few years ago, I think it had been put about as a fake site for Windows users to go to and then Jeremy registered it and pointed it to General. Wonder if he still owns bsdquestions.org?

Where? Can you provide a link to an explanation?

I did search for "windowsquestions.org", but all that came up with was a mixture of people pointing users with Windows problems to it apparently oblivious to the fact that that points them straight back here, and people pointing out that it doesn't make sense for an address beginning with "windows" to point to a Linux site.

Can we please have an explanation (or a link to an explanation) of why that address, which would be far more suited to a Windows support forum, was made to point here when that doesn't make any logical sense.

Sounds like you are sort of demanding that there be a rational and logical explanation of this. (There isn't). When you search here using windowsquestions.org, you will find the answers that do exist.

I think it is actually a neat little twist....

As I asid before, I did search for "windowsquestions.org", but did not find any explanation.

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...37#post2321137 suggests it was bought in 2000, but I remember seeing references to it in 2001/2002. I have just done searching and it was great seeing some old names

It was done because it was funny.

You probably found everything that I did. There was an explanation---maybe you just did not like it....

This thread needs to go to its final resting place.....
