Why was this thread locked?


I am curious why this thread was locked.

Especially since it was followed by this thread.

I hope it was not because the first thread "threatened" to become bi-lingual. Posts containing English answers and translations into other languages for the benefit of the people asking the questions do not violate the board's English-only rule do they?

My guess is because both threads are the same question, the newer thread being easier to read. The first post of the original thread doesn't even appear as text in my browser.

As indicated in post #7, the post is both not in English (which is against the LQ rules currently) and a dupe.
