Why is the time always an hour behind?

Every time something is posted on LQ the time on it appears to be an hour behind. I read somewhere on this site that their time is GMT-5, but isn't that Eastern time? It should say 12:35 for this post.

Don't know but yah GMT is now 5.52 not 4.52. Something do do with BST or something

Oh yeah, forgot about that.

Why don't they follow DST?

In my scratchy heady way, don't know if that's the reason - just a guess - maybe it's hosted in some country that's doesn't take it into account or they forgot to wind their watches :)

Maybe we'll find the real answer

If your speaking of DST (Daylight Savings Time), you should have that option in your User CP to use. Under Date and Time settings.

And the site is hosted in the Eastern Time zone of the United States.

Also I am moving this into Website Questions and Suggestions, where its more suitable.
