why do we have the LQ Spy?

What's the point of the LQ Spy? I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with it. I found the "New Feature: LQ Spy" post by Jeremy, but am still confused.

We have it because it's awesome. And I can see what people are posting in real time.

Why does one need to see in real time what people post?

Well, I used it to find this post. It's reasonably useful, but usually more interesting than useful. Do you have an argument for why we shouldn't have it ?

No, not really. If it were a waste of time (which it evidently isn't), LQ's having the Non-NIX General forum indicates that LQ doesn't mind wasting members' time.
