Hi, I am just trying to create blog here - but the engine used to create blogs is complete mystery. I most case I post entries I don't want post or remove those I want to post. I hope there is simplified blog for just people like me: I am genius but can't really manage that.
I've not experienced anything like this, but I've been blogging for a long time.
I've found the LQ Blog to be pretty straightforward. Navigate to your blog, click "Post to Your Blog" on the left, compose the post, preview it, edit if necessary, then click "Post Now." (I must admit that I have not used the "Save Draft" function, so I'm not really clear about its mechanics.)
I'd suggest that, the next time you try to compose a post, keep track of the steps you follow. If the post doesn't work at some, come back, detail exactly what you did and what happened in sequence. I think a more specific question would make it easier to help you.
I notice that you have successfully made one LQ blog post, about a very ambitious project, I must say!
I have difficulties with drafts. It seems like they are just can be read after I save them - but I just want to keep and after I would be satisfied to post and allow others to read. The are so many buttons, options...
I can agree that the interface takes a minor amount of learning.
I haven't explored making a published blog back into a draft, however (worst case) it should be as simple as editing the published entry, copying the whole text into a new draft entry, and then deleting the published entry. There doesn't appear to be a way to take a published blog entry and revert it to a draft. Therefore the idea of editing/copying/deleting old/creating new draft seems the best option.
When you edit a draft, use the Advanced mode and check the options shown on the lower part of the screen and you can opt to leave an entry as a draft.
The interface certainly isn't intuitive. I realised fairly quickly that the pencil icon at the bottom of the draft window is an "Edit" button, but it took me a long time to work out how to turn my draft into a posted blog. I think that option should show up by default at the bottom of any draft.
