Whitch Distro Fourm

How about a forum just for questions like "Which Distro"
, "Distro A vs Distro B"?

And splash a big banner across the main fourm page
so every one knows it is there?

Questions like this should be fine in the Linux - Distributions forum.

well if there are as many questions like this then you should appreciate that the information is already on this site, and if people were to try using searches before asking then they would find their answers. I would personally think that the creation of this kind of forum would naturally create vastly more of these questions, which are always ill-advised at the best of times i believe.

So are your for or against it? Or sitting on the fence?

It is a old argument but it's still a valid, if that forum
provide one (1) person with the answer they were looking
for, and kept that same person from posting "the" question.

Then it's served it purpose.

acid_kewpie 07-05-2002 06:20 PM

persoanlly i'm against it, i don't think that one person getting one answer is a justification for jeremy creating the forum, and for people then to once again repeat all the same old information that's been said far too many times already. i think it would only encourage laziness.

wow, i do sound too harsh most of the time huh?

OK, I give up. :)

Well how about a autoresponder reply with the correct answer ...
