Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

I was wondering where I could get a copy of the script that runs these forums. I have seen this style on many forums on the net and figure it probably a PHP that I can download from somewhere. Just don't know where.
If you scroll to the bottom of each and every page, it says its based on vBulletin in which you can go to www.vbulletin.com to download. But this is not free as in beer software. They do have a free lighter version I believe and also this one has been hacked away to fully customize this site as well. You might be more intersted in something like www.phpbb.com instead.

There is one called Pearl, written also in php, that is under the gpl; in other words, you can not only modify its actions and looks, you can modify the source! I can't remember the url, but I found it with Google by misspelling Perl...

How does that answer his direct question? He wanted to know what this forum runs, don't really recall him asking for alternatives per se..
Well. He wanted a copy of the script, so he may have been wanting to set up a forum of his own. I may be wrong here, but to me it appeared he was interested in making one himself so for someone to direct him to a alternative is not a bad thing. It would allow him a freedom to choose.
