What is done to users with explicit names?

What do the Mods do to users with explicit names, like "Mother_[censored]er" for instance? Are these members banned right off the bat or something?

I'm not a mod, but for the most part:

1) Most modern forum software/addons deal with these issues pretty easily, with little, if any, mod interaction.

2) The handful of users trying to be 'cute' is fairly small, and tend to get red-flagged quickly, especially by the corporate folks, who need LQ to remain safe for work.

3) Most of the M-[censored] folks aren't the type to hang out in a Linux forum.

4) Those that wander here by accident usually suffer from fatal aneurysms by the second or third thread, due to the comprehension requirements of LQ.

Aka, most of these issues are self-correcting...

If we spot one, we contact Jeremy to request a name change. If we don't spot it, nothing. If a non-mod spots one, please report it so we can take action.

The software, IIRC, does catch the more explicit names, but human beings will always find ways around it.
