hi
in few past days loading LQ site is so more slowly and time consuming than before. this problem is not related to my connection speed as I don't have any problem for loading heavier sites. what has happened to this site?

When exactly did the site get slower and how much slower is it? Is it waiting on a particular asset or domain? The only change we made is testing a new CDN at the request of some members.
Maybe the OP is talking about certain switches hanging up at certain times. I have had that happen on "New Posts" switch where it just hang and then I would move on to "Latest Threads" switch instead and everything would be fine.
Only on certain days and not lately though. Not a biggy for me. It is hard to say which browser for me also because I use a few different ones also here from UZBL to Opera developer to Iceweasel.
@jeremy
this problem started in this week. everything and every link is so slow and take at least 3 minute to load. today I found that none of message tools (font tools, QUOTE, CODE, etc) does not work, I had not tested this in this week before. and yes, it is waiting for cdnjs.cloudflare.com
@dugan
both take so long time to load same as LQ and finally return timeout error.
I don't have internet connection in my home and I use my office internet connection via a proxy. but I did not have this problem before. also I don't think it is related to filtering laws in my country
Edit: I am testing this site in my sister's home and I am banging my head to wall. please please fix this problem.
I have had no issues with LQ over the past few weeks. It's a shot in the dark, but have you tried a traceroute? That might give some indication where between you and LQ the issue lies.
travis82 has no trouble loading LQ itself, so I need to ask: does LQ really need CDN hosting for the YUI files?
If CDN hosting is needed, then can the script tags for CDN-hosted scripts be be moved to the bottom so that they do not block the loading of the rest of the site?
it seems that the problem has been solved. the site loads fast and waiting for cdnjs has been disappeared. also all message tools works fine.
thank you very much
Every time a change in CDN happens those of us on poor connections on the other side of the globe suffer.
Given the plethora of analytics tools surely this correlation must stand out. Personally I could qquite happily do without the "thumbs up" bunkum.

To clarify, a move to a CDN should only every impact the very next time you visit LQ after the change. After that all content should be cached. If that's not happening, there's an issue on either our end or yours. Additionally, the use of a CDN should *vastly* improve the performance for people with poor connections and those who are geographically far from LQ.
Yes I know the theory.
We've had this discussion before - several times probably. I regularly get the LQ content on a page, and just "blobs" for the tokens - can't say it bothers me not having the "eye candy".
Again we have some problems to access LQ in Iran. Site loading is very time consuming and opening every link takes more than 5 minutes. Obviously this issue is related to connecting to lqo-thequestionsnetw.netdna-ssl.com.
Please take a look and tell us how to solve this issue.
