Want to see all my threads first

Hi

I find this (and most) forums difficult to use, there's too much
clutter, too many buttons and too many different kinds of links and
buttons scattered everywhere. When I log in, the first thing I want to
do, every time, is see if any of my questions have been answered to any
of my threads, but to do that, I have to click 'my lg' way off on the right, then find 'subscribed threads' somewhere in that list on
the left.

Oh, and it would be nice, I'd say, if there was some sort of 'general
chitchat' forum. As a newbie, I've been checking out several
distributions and have a few comments I'd like to make, but it's
obviously general in nature, so no specific formum seems the right place.

That works, of course, but I'd still say that it should be easy to do with the design of the page itself.

Yeah, but then again I'd say that the whole site has become too complex.
Mind you the entire computer world has always had this problem of thinking that more is always better. I like things that are simple, intuative and accessible.

We actually try very hard to keep the site as simple as possible (while providing the functionality that enables the site to be as useful as possible). If you have any specific suggestions on how we can improve, do let us know.

Jeremy,

Well then, just promote 'my threads' to someplace more prominent, and I'll be happy

On the right side of the screen you always see the My LQ box, which holds the My Threads link. You do need to be logged in to see it.

Have a look at the attached image.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

"KISS'

I agree that some effort on the members part is required too get what that same member wants/needs.

Others and myself feel the way the My LQ setup is presently does provide the means without clutter.

To the OP, look at LQ Spy and check the box for subscribed threads only. Run it in another tab. Works for me! You'll need to setup script control if noscript or adblock and the like are used.
