This is just a meta question... not sure if this is the correct forum...

I submitted a question under "Software" (regarding a broken install) a few hours ago (maybe 1100 or 1130CST), and was informed it needed to be approved by the moderator as it was my first post (I did not realize I never started a thread at LQ.org...!).

Anyway, the question I am asking is a nettlesome one and while I do not want to seem impatient, I would like to see if anyone has any thoughts or ideas with which I can further pursue with an eye toward fixing my problem.

So... can someone tell me approximately how long before a moderator approves a member's "First Post"?

...when he or she does. Like regular members LQ moderators are volunteers too. Just be patient.
