I was wondering if a section that dealt with mobile devices (cellphones) and linux would be helpful to other? I would find it helpful - so i'm wondering what your take is...

I think it would waste fewer search resources to institute a "Cell/Mobile Phone" sub-forum. Not to mention wasting members time scanning 156 threads vs 7615.
arbitrary subdivisions really doesn't help, people just post it in more places at once and it gets so messy. if there were lots of people actually using linux on mpobile phones and asking questions at lq.org then those posts would be much more visible.

I think the "Showing results 1 to 50 of 156" is indicative of the fact that at this point, a dedicated forum for this topic isn't needed. No one is looking forward to Linux mobiles more than myself, so if the demand changes, we'll certainly revisit the issue.
