Stricter organization of Threads in LQ
Hello everyone.
I like this forum a lot, but searching for threads is a real mess. So here are my ideas to improve the forums search capabilities and therefore prevent doubleposting. 1. Every thread should have a state Prefix (Open/Solved) 2. Add the second Prefix to every thread within the Laptop-Notebook forum - The first should be Status (Solved/Open) - The second should be the model of the Notebook/Laptop Every thread would look like [Open] [Sony Vaio pcg-grt995mp] Problems with this and that If the model is not entered, the thread can not be created. 3. Add a Input mask to every thread where the writer can (but does not need to) insert the hardware specifications like - Motherboard model - Screen model - Processor type - Chipset model - RAM Size - GPU Model - Soundcard model - Additional specs textfield 4. Add a textfield/dropdownfield of vairous Linux Distributions All this would allow a member to search for his hardware instead for a thread name. Greetings Louis |
