Stats reveal too little.

They say

statistics are like bikinis, they reveal a lot yet they hide the essential details
From the LQ.org mail

STATISTICS:
we have had the following activity since 12-01-2002
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

o 870 new members
o 1,466 new threads
o 8,101 new posts
o 4 new polls

These are the LQ.org stats and we have around 20K members. But how many people are really active?

The most revealing stats will be like these :

o 200000000 new bies
o 1786313 members
o 7265 Gurus/LQ addicts
o 276 contributing memmbers

o 28 members never came back after the first few posts
o 1236138761 give it back to LQ.organisation

They are the Rossy picture kind of stats. But truly how many people are really active? Click on the members button and see for Ur self out of first 30 members only 2 have more than 30 posts. While 15 of them(half) have less than 3 posts .(in fact i too have a mere 37 posts)
But i am improving.
