Sorry for yet another post, but is this forum supposed to be at the top?

The Website Questions & suggestions now appears at the TOP of the forum list, was that intended?

I am moving a few things around as you have noticed. I am not sure if I am going to keep this forum up top or move it back down. What does everyone think?

I like it. I keep missing it and pressing on programming, which I don't have a clue about.

Being generic in nature, this forum is aptly placed at the end of the list and it should be like that only...Changes are welcome too...It wont make much of a difference even if the place was changed...

My 2 cents: Keep it at the top, and add an FAQ sticky with the sort of info that all newcomers to LQ might need. -- J.W.

I cant really comment on functionality, I dont think it changes anything there, but I think this forum at the top looks better than it did before, I cant say why but I do like it.

Linux-Software used to collect a lot of questions placed there by newbies who don't bother to classify their question and just drop it into the first forum available. I recommend that you put Linux-General at the top to act as a catch-all rather than Website Questions & Suggestions.

Actually it use to be at the top, but we moved it further down to make members notice the other forums, categories, etc. Thus far I think it works. Most see anything with General at the top and will definitely place it there, not bothering to think if it can fit into any other category. And I think by placing this one on the very top, will only help that.

Cheers.

two things: The WQNS at the top is a good idea. Secondly, I think that trickykid's point that moving Linux-General down is a valid one.

Well, trickykid, you have just resent the last two posts to other forums, all by new members. Do you think that has anything to do with it? Maybe it doesn't, but I have my suspicions that it does.

I knew that would be brought up but it just simply shows those members who posted in this forum simply just can't read or don't care. And it probably only happened since this thread was created..
