Some questions about the forums (Icons and Status)

I've been looking in the f.a.q. and searching in this forum, but I have not found the answer.

Each post has a different envelope. Some have a hole in the middle, et cetera.

At the same time, there is a letter for each post under the "Status" Column

I wonder what they mean.

Thank you

When in a forum, look at the very very bottom of the page.

You'll see a "legend" for the envelopes

Status column - not sure

Status U = Unanswered
Status A = Answered

When you are the thread starter and your question is answered there is a button to press at the top of the thread - the "Answered" button.

If you click the button, your thread is marked answered. The idea is that people coming along with the same problem will know that you gained an answer to your problem and that they are quite likely to get their own answer there.

Only problem is that his is dependent on the thread starter clicking the "Answered" button - if you don't click it, your problem stays "Unanswered" for ever.
