So...who's in charge (besides Jeremy)?

...and the mods? I'm just curious as to who else participates in the maintenance/administration of LQ. According to the WP article for this site, Jeremy and the mods are pretty much by themselves!

Is this true? Is this really a one-man show? If so, I must say, that's rather impressive, considering how many members LQ has now.

Well, if Jeremy is the only administrator then yes he is the only one running the site.

I am indeed the sole founder and admin here at LQ. The mods obviously play a huge part in the day to day operations of LQ and one of the mods also helps with some of the coding.

Jeremy, was just wondering, how do plan and choose your moderators? Just a thought. Dont intend to know how LQ works.

^ You know, I had the idea of posting a thread about that question shortly after reading the responses to this one...maybe I should have taken the opportunity?

It's a bit off topic for this thread, but I've answered the question before so a quick search should turn up the answer.

You obviously do. But he would not just choose someone who has a lot of posts. There should be some criterion.

Err, I did some searching and either turned up nothing, or got so many results that I just didn't want to bother wading through the meaningless results to find one that's relevant. Maybe I just suck at using the search function.

EDIT: I did find one that was posted way back in '04 that asked the same question, but the reply was just "this has been asked before, do a search, etc., etc., etc.". So apparently the question was asked a long time ago, and people have just been saying "use the search function" whenever someone asks it again.
