simple questions about signitures

i was wondering what has to be typed in to change the font size in my signature...
i tried things like these examples:
<font size=2> </font>
and..
[FONT SIZE =2] [/FONT]
but when i tried the one with caret brakets it prints it in my sig, and when i try it with sqaure brackets it does nothing...
you can post other tags that i can use also if you like
