Under MYLQ, isn't there an option to disable signature view for a particular user, so that he doesn't have to waste his data transfer capacity looking and downloading those extra bytes of signature text ?

It is, indeeed!

Well, I am not against the thought of limiting the size, but you also have an alternative

There is an option in "My LQ" to disable the display of Signatures. "My LQ" > "Edit Options" > "Show Signatures"

Harishankar, we are not truncating old sigs, but it's mandatory when you go into your UserCP.
titanium_geek, we cut off 250.
