Selection of "major distros" in the reviews needs updating

The more readily accessible major distros section of the reviews currently includes the extinct Conectiva, the dormant Damn Small Linux, and the mysterious Linare. The division into well-known and minor distros obviously needs to be updated occasionally. How about promotion of the popular Sabayon and Puppy?

hi
could you please look at this page http://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=major

and if you look at the home page you will find they have their own ranking based on page hits.

there is no reference to connectiva nor dsl on either of those pages.

thanks

But everything with culling extinct distros and a working solution how to achieve automatic ranking which LQ currently doesn't do...

Thanks for the feedback. I've created an "Archived" category and moved some inactive distributions. I've also created Mint, Puppy and Sabayon.
