Select forums for LQ Spy and/or Zero Reply Threads

Hi,

I like using the LQ Spy and Zero Reply Threads pages but find that sometimes they end up with a lot of posts from forums that are not relevant to me. Being able to filter those pages based on which forums the posts are in would be a very useful feature for me and I guess others.

Perhaps this could be configured with some checkboxes in the users profiles?

I usually start my LQ session with the zero reply threads. The number of new zero-reply threads seldom takes up an entire page in my browser (I'm usually on LQ every night because I have no life).

I would find such a filter unnecessary overhead. Plus I like seeing threads from forums that I may not visit regularly. They often lead me to learn new things.

Just my two cents and I don't have strong feelings on this matter.

Initially I was only considering LQ Spy. However it occurred to me that if it was implemented there, it could probably be done for Zero reply threads too. So it was a bit of an after thought really, and I agree that there is probably not so much value in it.

Frankly (I do everything frankly), I've never used LQ Spy.

As I said, I don't have strong feelings on this one. If enough persons say that they would find it useful, it's fine with me to put something else on Jeremy's plate.

I believe the Zero Reply listing is already filtered according to the 'Exclude Forums from "Get New Posts"' option. LQ Spy is not though.

Apparently not. I'm seeing fora in Zero Replies I've excluded from Get New Posts.
However, Get New Posts does include Zero Replies, so I'm seeing them that way. I find a filtered Get New Posts works for what I want to do here.
