sarcmark

is it possible for this forum software to support sarcmark (slant opposite direction than italics) as a courteous way to express sarcasm ?

Well I just had to google it, so I'd say from my position, no, as I can't see anyone would have a clue what it is.

We have no plans to support sarcmark at this time, but if it gains sufficient adoption it's certainly something we'd consider.

I googled it and found an article from 2010 saying it would be the next huge brand and everyone would be using it. That leads me to believe that nobody would understand it if it were implemented and the best way to confer sarcasm is to either use false tags like <sarcastic></sarcastic> or be very, very clear in some other way. Sarcasm is very dangerous in typed English and on a forum like this where people are expected to be civilised I would only use it with extreme care.

i just googled it and i see a different sarcmark (upside down @). i guess what i really meant was sartalics. so there are a few different sarcasm punctuations that will probably add confusion .

Would you like the font upside down and reversed too for added effect?

Sarcasm should be served on a cold plate - the way it's meant to be.
