quick reply should exist only in last page

It has happened to me many times. I read the first page of a post, I don't notice the second page and I quick-reply on the first page only to find out that after posting all the solution to a problem, somebody else has done it for me in the second page or the guy that had the problem has solved it or something similar.

So, quick reply should not be available on a page that is not the last page, or at least there should be a big warning that THIS IS NOT THE LAST PAGE!

How many times does it take you to learn something? How many times do you allow a fire to burn you before you learn that you shouldn't get too close?

This isn't so much a problem with the way the forums work as it is with your inability to learn from experience.

There may very well be times where you want to reply from any page. As a result, this is not something we plan to implement. Thanks for the feedback.
