I am new to the forum and have a question about how the forum works.

I registered in the forum and I clicked on the "Ubuntu". At present, it has over 13000 threads, but I can not access other pages (only the first page is displayed (50 posts)). This is normal or my account is in trouble?

Sorry if I have posted this message in the wrong place. This is my first post. :)

Thank you.

If you click on this link to forums main page, can you different fora? http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/

If you do see, you can then click on the most appropriate subforum and browse away.

Even an unregistered user can browse all the questions, I am sure you can! :)

In the forum itself, do you see the next page selection? (see attachment) This should be at the top and bottom of the page directly above the first thread on the page and below the last thread, situated to the right hand side of the page next to the right hand sidebar.

Thanks for the quick response. I have not found this pagination:

Thank you very much.

Oh, I found the problem. The options was selected "From the Last Month". When I select "Beginning", all posts are displayed.

Thank you for your help. Before I learn linux, I have to learn to use the forum. :)

The threads are limited by default to the last month - so there have not been so many Ubuntu posts the last month.

Go to the bottom of the page and you can select by other periods, the longer ones produce the pagination because of more posts.

[EDIT]
Looks like you were faster on the submit than I! Glad you found it!

And a belated welcome to LQ!

You can change which time period should be chosen by default in your account settings: My LQ -> Edit Options ->
Default Thread Age Cut Off

I don't see that. I haven't really missed not having it. But now I am curious what's wrong. Maybe some option setting turned it off?

OK, I do see that multi page selector in Slackware, but not Ubuntu or LQ Suggestions and Feedback. So I guess that means 50 or fewer in the last 30 day in Ubuntu. 289 in Slackware.
