Podcast Sample rate

Jeremy, et al

I use a Creative Zen Nomad to listen to podcasts. I listen to several regularly (Geek News Central, TWiT, Mike's Tech show). I've tried several times to listen to LQ Radio or the LQ podcast and cannot. It seems the Nomad cannot handle the 11Khz sample rate. The sound is real sssslllloooowww. I've run into this with other shows (NerdTV comes to mind) and each converted to 22khz before I could listen to them.

I'm not sure of the why's & how's of this issue, but I would like to add your shows to my queue. Any ideas?

\\Greg

Let me check a couple things. It may be possible for us to move to 22kHz.

You can listen to them streaming online at http://radio.linuxquestions.org/ if you'd like to decide whether to subscribe. A couple episodes back, the options for downloading were actually discussed.

gmartin, looking at my setting now that I am in the "studio", we moved to 22020 a while back. Are you looking at current releases?

Hmm, let me take a closer look then. I use audacity for the podcast and have verified that it *should* be exporting at 22050.

3/2 show still at 11Khz

Jeremy, The latest show appears to be at 11Khz still. The bit rate is 32kbps, but he sample rate is audio sample rate is 11kHz.
