Micro$oft Office XP ads

I just got an ad for Micro$oft Office XP while browsing LQ:eek:

ha ha ha ha

Dude, Jeremy only owns LQ, not the add company too. At least I don't think so, cause if he did I think he wouldn't put XP adds in :D

trickykid 07-17-2002 09:18 AM

Dude, if you really don't like the ads, you can always become a Contributing Member, and then turn them off.

Then stop complaining about the ads, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. They help the site. When you click on them, they help the site no matter what, even if you want to buy it or not.. and who cares what it is.. just ignore them.

I'm interested in why you would think it was a con. It is completely optional and you don't get anything taken away by not participating.

I think rverlander is watching too much con air , and uttering some nonsense.

i think we discussed this when debating the whole contributing members thing. it's pretty much inevitable that someone's going to complain, and think that they're getting ripped off because not everything in the world is free.
