I'm almost done implementing the "thanks" functionality now. I'll post about that when it's ready. The CDN seems to be caching the old image quite aggressively. Working on that bit now as well.

Perhaps if the thanks links were clickable such that you could find out where a person's been thanked, and why, that would help a little?

The button looks fine to me, if a little blurred: http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?i...blurreduk9.png

Thanks information is available in the thread (Chris was kind enough to thank me for post #16 as an example).

So the "Thanks" is how many times you have personally thanked someone, and the gumpf below is the overall detail? the bottom line seems a little wordy compared to all other items in the list which are bulleted strictly. |
XavierP - that's indeed the incorrect image.

I like the idea of making it look slightly different, though in keeping with the overall theme, otherwise it will get overlooked.

I just clicked the Thanks button---that's neat.
I'm worried about the user interface---will the member see the "Thanks" button AND the "Reputation" button? (Where's a good example of how the UI for reputation is done?) |
The "Thanks" button should now be correct in all regions. If you're still seeing the old one, you may want to clear your browser cache. The UI on the recognition system is indeed significantly different in a way that should not cause confusion. We could even tie the two systems together, so that thanking someone would increase their positive reputation.

nice..
the remove thanks is not working for me.

Now it is.
hmm.. how do we check stats or posts we were thanked for?
|
No not this forum! It just turns into elitist crap. Time to find another Linux forum I feel.
edit: As I was posting this Quote:

You can get detailed stats in the statistics section of your profile:

What is elitist about a "thanks" or about a reputation system?
