LQ members can choose to Read or Not to Read a Post based on the Title
!!!!!
This post contains subject matter that may be upseting to those who are very sensitive. !!!!! I am a newbie to Linux and to LQ. I have posted some posts that I was told did not have good titles. Some Moderators have been especially telling me about that. I made a post with a very clear title, "Hans, Nina Reiser-reward web site down, bad picture". LQ members who were interested in Hans could have read it. Those who were NOT interested it did not need to open the link to read it. There is no reason to get upset if you opened a link with a good title that clearly tells what the subject is if you are not interested in that subject. I have a suggestion. Can the moderators be more polite? I want to report the moderator XavierP because for that post above he was so rude. If you are not interested in the Hans posts then I can understand that. One LQ member said that it was not logical that Nina would leave her kids. It is logical. Many moms do not want their kids. Just take a look at all of the moms to be who have abortions. I think that it is not logical to get upset just because someone does not agree with your opinion about Nina. There are plenty of moms that abandon their kids. That is why there are so many in foster care. |

No real problem with it. Although LQ members can choose to read a post or not, moderators cannot. The post was closed, and commented on, because from the tone of it I was unconvinced of your ignorance on the matters.
LQ has nothing at all to do with the Hans Reiser trial. We are a technical help forum. Though your insisting on full body shots of Nina Reiser was pretty creepy to say the least. And as to sarcasm/rudeness, wait a few months - we have the US elections coming up and they normally spawn a large number of pro-candidate threads. If you want to help Reiser, contact his lawyers and see what you can do. |
XavierP rude? No way! Wait 'til you get attacked by acid_kewpie!

dragonslayer48dx Bill, re. your signature: "How the Hell did I get this old." A bit negative? I'm fast approaching 63, but I've been rejuvenated by installing Slackware 12.1. Age is all in the mind - think young, think positive. |
