I would be gald to intro myself but I have loked around your site for 10 minutes or so and I have not found the LQ MEMBER INTRO FORUM SECTION maybe I am blind or something. anyway I plan on logging in more often now to discuss why Sun is trying to replace Red Hat.

It's a subforum of the General forum, a link from the main forum page and from within the General forum. Shouldn't be too hard to find.. ;)

does the new member intro simply suggest, or link to the member intro forum? Perhaps a link would be cool.

Sorry- haven't been a new member for a while now- and I think that the welcome forum postdates my signup... :)

Just an opinion but I think it would nice to have seperate forum topic called new member intro and not hiden under General forum.

Some members like to introduce themselves, most just start by asking questions or helping others. I think a sub-forum is more suitable as the traffic in this forum is at minimal.
