Is there a way to get a trial issue, either electronic or print, especially if it doesn't require giving away credit card information and an automatic subscription if I don't cancel it?
I don't know how the magazine does it, but with many trial offers, you have to "opt-out" from automatically paying for a subscription instead of opting-in to keep it going.
I feel that if a product or service is all that great, I will make the call to keep it going. That's why I tell telemarketers that I will only try their product or service if they can send it to me without my having to cancel anything if I don't like it, and if I like it, that I would have to make a call to keep it going. They never are able to do that, and I tell them that this is how I do things--if they can't meet my requirements, I don't want to deal with them. I'm the customer, and when I spend my money, I make the rules. End of call.

& BTW, I can only view your web site in Opera (9.62, Build 2466, Linux); not Konqueror (3.5.8), or FF (2.0.0.11). -- They (Konq & FF) accept the link, but never finish loading.

karolinary, would have to give you the specifics, but due to subscription schedules it's often the case that the first issue takes a couple months to arrive.
