list of favorite posts?

Is there any way I can make myself a list of favorite or most frequently referred-to posts/threads? I'd like to separate my threads that helped me from my useless threads, and I'm not allowed to delete any.

I think under the UserCP "subscribed threads" that you can create folders and then put certain threads in there. I haven't ever tried it, but that's what it appears to do...

Well what do you know!

Although there isn't a userCP on this forum as far as I can tell, if you go to your subscriptions, then edit subscriptions, you can add a new folder.

Once that's done, when you subscribe to a thread (use the thread tools), you can put it into the new folder created above.

I wish I'd noticed this before - it would have saved me lots of time refinding previous posts that I want to refer to myself or to post for others.

billymayday: You can get to your user control panel by clicking on MyLQ.

Or by going to the 'My LQ' menu to the top right. The 'LQ UserCP' link will take you to your control panel. Unless that's what you meant....

Xavier, I hadn't seen that that link. Thanks.

Jeremy, my point was a bit simpler than that - I think the default in vBulletin is to call the MyLQ menu next to Quick Links "User CP". That's all I was on about.

Anyway, I'm glad I found a way to set a favourites - I'm always off searching for that "dd" thread, or a good link for how to reset the root password without having to write it from scratch, so I'll start a little collection going.
