Kali Linux sticky thread?

Thanks for chiming in hydrurga, I was hoping to hear from you about this. While I would have thought that was one of the primary reasons for writing the sticky in first place, apparently, I have no right to disagree with others and if I do, "I don't like it when people disagree with me". To be clear: I am NOT referring to yourself in saying that, please don't misunderstand me there (not saying you would - but just for the sake of being clear).

But hey, you know what, it's obviously not going to matter what I say given that it's just going to be twisted by cynwulf and ondoho. So, why say anything else, well, NO offence to you (or anyone else here) but forget it, I'm out, LQ can deal with the sticky, they can delete the [removed] for all I care.

Just for the record: In the thread ondoho's "finding flaws" in; Those threads I listed, I DID honesty enjoy BECAUSE I LEARNT and felt that I really did HELP the OP's involved and ondoho is that miserable that he wants to find "flaws" it in.

Gee whiz, I'm not even able to try and help without that kind of BS, well excuse me.

All yours Jeremy, you deal with it. Your call, setup a Kali forum, delete the sticky, whatever you [removed] well like... (with all respect)

Are you sure you want those people in the fold? They are not interested in Linux. They are completely unknowledgeable people who have delusions about being crackers, and believe Kali, not Linux, will make them the kind of crackers they see in movies and on television. In other words, the kind of people making the posts is more important than the posts.

Well that's a good way of writing people off before you've given them a chance. If folk have signed up to a Linux forum and have posted on here then they are interested in Linux, for whatever reason. Those who don't end up as crackers, and I wager and hope that this will be by far the greater part, may well learn about Linux in the process and put what they have learned to good use, whether personally or professionally.

To me the issue is that there are a few types of Kali thread and no one specific answer to all of them. However, a sticky posted in the thread explains the position of the people here to anyone reading (perhaps after googling and finding the thread), not just the original poster, so is less likely to put off an individual who genuinely wants help to learn Kali as, for example, part of an actual course they're signed up to. The sticky may also, in part, answer their questions if they get here by a Google search.

i'd have to disagree here.
sure, teenagers are attracted by mr robot's hero (whatever the actor's name is), but some do have the ability to then analyze their fascination and "get to the bottom of it" - which might well turn out to be a love for FOSS, and an operating system that was born from a global community effort.
