On a recent thread I recieved email that included the other persons response to my suggested way of solving his problem
Is there a way for me to prepare the amnswer within my email program and then simply mail it back to the adress at top
If I did that would it get in the right place in the thread
At the moment i come onto the website and then onto the thread and then post quick response

Unfortunately (or luckily, depending on how you look at it) there is no way to "read" email replies back into a thread at LQ, you'll have to post a reply.
I also needed to patch a copy of a good LOG file into the quick reply but did not know how to do it.
If you can't copy and paste it then maybe you can read in the contents of a temporary file. If there's large portions of logs to show (like 60 lines or more), it's best to post a (temporary) download location instead (and compress the log, if really big).
sorry to keep coming with the questions but I badly want to learn

Is there such a temporary download location on LQO -I dont have website
if not on LQ any other suggested places
At the moment I am going to send a long log file by direct email but As per the rules I agree that all interchanges should come thru this site as part of the thread so that other people can also benifit
This LOG file will give the other party a veiw of what to expect in a working dial up and make debuging easier when veiwing his/her own log so its content would also be of value to others who have trouble getting Kinternet to work
