Not sure what you really looking for? You mean try to narrow down a particular search to just one thread or the most relevant thread? I would think that is near impossible and if it were, it would severly slow down the servers, take up massive resources and probably take days to search considering the size of the database this site has accumulated..

Exactly. Some of the threads are rather long... I found a jewel in a 70+ page thread, but I guess I will have to re-construct my search as best as possible without this feature for...

I would not want anything to happen to the LQ forum servers, they're just too darn useful.
What's really interesting is how close the LQ forum operates in touchy-feely kind of way to the brighthand forums...

Actually, you can search a single thread quite easily. From the thread you want to search in, look in the lower right hand corner for "Search this Thread:". Comes in quite handy for those 20+ page threads.
