is selling allowed here?

I'm not allowed to offer anything for sale on LQ, am I? I looked at the rules and saw that they prohibit advertising. I assume that means no selling. Otherwise, I have a few computer-related items I hope to get rid of.

That's the assumption I would make.

That's right - there's no selling allowed on LQ. Basically, even though we'd have all sorts of disclaimers up to say that we weren't the sellers, merely the sales facilitators, if there were any problems with the sale we would take the blame. Also, with the vast number of members we have (and new members every day) we'd have no way of verifying who was legit and who needed a daily slap. The overheads in terms of time and potential for losing reputation points are just too high right now.

However, Jeremy is always looking at ways to enhance LQ and if there was a way to do it and protect both the site and the sellers/buyers I'm sure he'd look into it. Maybe in a future update, eh?

And I've moved this to LQ Suggestions and Feedback - despite the name, it's also for questions about the site.
